Based on the Greek fertile land, the wonderful climate and tradition, we started the production of aromatic - medicinal plants of our country. With respect to nature we grow herbs in accordance with the principles of organic agriculture (aCert).
A few words about our plants
Sage (Salvia officinalis)
Used primarily as a beverage but also for cooking .
Dosage for beverage preparation
Daily dose : 4-6 g .
Put 6-5 leaves (4-6gr.) in a tea cup at 90 ° C for about 6-7 minutes. After filtration of juices is ready for use. Served with sugar or a spoonful of honey.
Used as a perfusate or beverage, in mouthwashes , gargles , for cure of larynx inflammations.
Sage has mucolytic , anti-microbial , fungistatic , and virustatic activity.
(should avoid frequently use for women who secrete many estrogen and during pregnancy).
Also used in diseases of liver and kidney , in external wounds, ulcers and inflammations of the eyes.
It is an excellent tonic, combats fatigue, helps people in recovery and facilitates digestion.
Recommended for people who suffer from high sweating.
Used in cooking as an accompaniment to vegetables and white meat.
Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)
It is known by the following names: lemon balm, melissa (Greek word bee). It has incredible healing properties. Beautiful plant, with a nice lemon smell. Indicated in simple colds, depression, indigestion, fever, colic, flu, insomnia, migraine, neuralgia, neurasthenia. Believed to have anti-aging properties and to cure impotence. It is also believed that it is of jaundice. The lemon balm is used against poisonous bites. It is comforting pains of dysentery. It has antimicrobial and anticonvulsant activity. Also stops aching teeth and ears. It fights bad breath. Pastes are against arthritis. With washes has beneficial properties to the skin.
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)
Antisiptiko and tonic herb. Thymus extract can prevent colds, fever sheds, fights the flu. Soothes intestinal disorders and skin infections and persistent cough. Antispasmodic the digestive tract, facilitates digestion, calms the nervous contractions of the stomach and bowel. In cooking thyme considered one of the best herbs as it adds a distinctive flavor to sauces, soups, meats and poultry.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
It is used in perfumery and for treating neurasthenia (nervous breakdown).
Essential oil is used in perfumery, soap and pharmaceutical industry as a tonic. Also has antiseptic properties and is used in wound healing. In large doses it acts as hypnotic drug. Lavender essential oil, when diluted with a carrier oil, is commonly used as a relaxant with massage therapy.
